From British Columbia, Canada, Shara Lee Ward is a talented singer-songwriter who grew up in a musical family. Raised in her family's love for country/gospel music, it was inevitable that Shara Lee would take on a similar sound. At 20, she got her first guitar and taught herself to play it with a Guitar For Dummies handbook and help from a friend. After learning the three-chord progression, she started writing her own songs. Being a natural in creative writing and constantly scribbling lyrics and ideas in her notebook, Shara Lee dreamed of collaborating with other songwriters someday. In 'Coming Reign', she did fulfill her dream - she collaborated with her husband on the song 'You Alone Are God'.

In 2006, Shara Lee traveled to Nashville to record her first country demo but it felt more like a dead-end instead of a kick-starter. Although two of her four songs were released in various country and Christian albums, it didn't seem like a good fit for her. Shara Lee then had to dig deep - should she really pursue going country? Through prayer, Shara Lee had her epiphany - combining prayer and scripture with music, and that she should really focus on making Christian contemporary music. Shara Lee took up vocal lessons in preparation for her first full-length Christian/Praise and Worship album. From there, Shara Lee started recording for her current CD 'Coming Reign', and with this, she found her true calling.

The CD 'Coming Reign' was recorded in Vancouver, Canada in 2008, where she got to work with amazing musicians such as Michael Novak, a talented producer from Nashville. Four of Shara Lee's songs in the CD have been well-received in the US, gaining airplay and drawing interest from the music industry. In fact, her vocal and musical styling has been compared to that of the best-selling Christian artist of all time, Amy Grant. Currently, Shara Lee is intending to complete the tracks in 'Coming Reign' and this 2011, more great songs will be featured that are guaranteed to pull at your heartstrings in praise of the glory of God.

Shara Lee Ward has a steadfast relationship with God. Her faith in Jesus Christ is the source for all her strength. Shara Lee believes that God has made her to sing and is excited to see where He is taking her.
