    Event Details: Shape the World Summit 2024 is taking place on 21st June at the top floor of the iconic Jewel Changi Airport with a closing keynote by Mr Lim Boon Heng, Chairman of Temasek Holdings.

    19th Edition: Since its inception in 2005, the summit has brought together over 5,800 changemaker leaders from business, government, and non-profits to exchange experiences on leading creative change movements for the common good. Participants hail from the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania.

    New Initiatives: The Summit will feature the launch of world-first changemaking initiatives such as AgriCORE for regenerative agriculture, DialogueCORE for inclusion resilience and FamilyCORE to measure the impact of family-led foundations.

    Gala Dinner: The Shape the World Summit Gala Dinner will mark the 20th anniversary of Consulus and include the global book launch of ‘Creative Change: Becoming Changemakers and Seeing the Heart of Lasting Change’ by Lawrence Chong, Founder of Consulus and two-time TEDx speaker.

    SINGAPORE, May 27th, 2024 - Hosted at the iconic Jewel Changi Airport, Shape the World Summit 2024 will bring together over 250 leaders and changemakers to address global challenges through accelerated partnerships and ecosystems for change.

    Being held on June 21st in Singapore, the summit arrives at a critical juncture, emphasising that times of crisis also present opportunities for change. It aims to explore creative ideas and solutions to tackle challenges such as inequality, environmental issues, global peace, and the rapid technological and AI-driven disruption of jobs and industries.

    Alongside an esteemed lineup of 18 speakers from around the world, the closing keynote of the Shape the World Summit 2024 will be delivered by the Chairman of Temasek Holdings, Mr Lim Boon Heng.

    “Now more than ever, we cannot afford to have fewer changemakers but more, we need more people to discover their calling and serve as changemaking leaders in all fields, the urgent call for more changemakers has never been more critical,” said Mr Lawrence Chong, Co-founder and Group CEO of Consulus

    “The Shape the World Summit is an annual appointment for changemaker leaders to exchange experiences, especially in how they have led their movements for change to impact a better world”, Mr Chong added.

    Shape the World Summit 2024 aims to accelerate the growth of changemakers and foster a more equitable economy. This will be achieved by sharing and profiling examples of changemaking across diverse fields to enhance collaboration among participants. The summit explores creatively mobilising movements for change through four tracks:

    TRACK 1: Cause for Change - Explores how changemaking leaders discover their vocation and cause for shaping impactful change.

    ‘Cause and Creative Leadership’, a speech by Consulus Global Senior Fellow for Leadership, Mr Jim Funk (USA).
    ‘Vocation and Cause for a Labour Movement’, a fireside chat with Senior Minister of State, Mr Desmond Tan (Singapore), on how he felt called to serve in public office and his experience with Singapore’s largest labour movement. Mr Jim Funk will moderate the fireside chat.
    ‘Igniting a New Generation Beyond Intergenerational Offending’, a speech by the Chairman of NeuGen, Mr Joshua Chua (Singapore), on his calling to lead a charity that seeks to help families overcome the effects of intergenerational offending.
    ‘To Conduct a Concerto for Change’, a speech by Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Sichuan Symphony Orchestra of China, Mr Darrell Ang (Singapore), on impacting the world for good through music.

    TRACK 2: Creative Vision - Explores how having a cause shapes creative visions for impactful change.

    ‘A Vision for Economy of Communion in 7 Aspects’, a speech by Regional Director of Consulus EMEA ( Europe, Middle East and Africa), Mr Stanislav Lencz (Slovakia), on a new framework to measure growth and journey toward an equitable economy.
    ‘Garden of Givers’, a fireside chat with the President of Megan Foundation, Teresa Ganzon (Philippines), on an experience about a culture of giving inspired by the Economy of Communion.
    ‘AgriCORE’, a fireside chat with President Sa’I Anwara’I Ju’Mai Consultaire Limited (SCL), Dr Andrew Kwasari (Nigeria) on a vision for regenerative agriculture from Africa to the world.
    ‘Societal Impact for Family Businesses’, a speech by Frost and Sullivan Country Head, Singapore, Mr Tan Shujie (Singapore), on FamilyCORE: The impact of family-led foundations on social impact.
    ‘Parenting Movement’, a speech by the CEO of Parendigm, Mr Eric Lim (Singapore).
    ‘Shaping Creative Movements’, a panel discussion with Dr Andrew Kwasari, Mr Tan Shujie and Mr Eric Lim moderated by Mr Lencz.

    TRACK 3: Circles of Trust - Explores how a core circle can uphold trust within a movement for impactful change.

    ‘Building Changemaker Communities’, a speech by Partner of Consulus, Helena Pham (Vietnam) on nurturing impact through circles of trust.
    ‘In the age of digital dissonance, how to dialogue for UNITY’, a speech by Consulus Global Head of DialogueCORE, Dr Farha Iman (India).
    ‘Circles of Dialogue for Shared Security’, a panel discussion with the President of Inter-Religious Organisation, Singapore, Mr Noor Marican (Singapore), Founder of Religious Freedom and Business Foundation, Dr Brian J Grim (USA), and Secretary General of the Asian Conference of Religions for Peace, Dr Yoshinori Shinohara (Japan).     SHAPE THE WORLD SUMMIT CLOSING KEYNOTE

    The tradition of a closing keynote to sum up the insights and inspire delegates for the summit began in 2022, post-COVID. The first closing keynote address was delivered by Ms Janet Ang, Nominated Member of Parliament, on Leadership and Future Resilience by Design at Swissotel Stamford, Singapore.

    The second closing keynote was then delivered in 2023 by the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Haji Johari Tun Openg, at the Pullman, Kuching, on the topic of Future Resilience through Sustainability and Data. The state cabinet was in attendance.
    This year's summit will close with our Third Closing Keynote featuring insights from Mr. Lim Boon Heng (Singapore), Chairman of Temasek Holdings, as he delves into the topic 'Shaping Changemaking Movements from Public and Private Sectors.' This builds on his many decades of service in the labor movement, government, and the global business sphere through Temasek.

    GALA DINNER AND GLOBAL BOOK LAUNCH

    Following this, an exclusive gala dinner will feature the Global Book Launch of Group CEO of Consulus and Two-Time TEDx Speaker: Lawrence Chong. The book launch keynote is titled: Creative Change: Becoming Changemakers and Seeing the Heart of Lasting Change.

    As human interactions are increasingly shaped by algorithms amidst the looming dangers of technocracy and failed human leadership, the need for more Changemakers has become a critical mission. Lawrence Chong seeks to demystify the concept of changemaking. Coming from 20 years of experience and work globally, he will present a step-by-step case for how we, too, can change the world and concludes with a forward-looking perspective on shaping the future in an era of uncertainty.
