Shaastra, Technical Festival Of IIT Madras, Organizes Sampark At Coimbatore
Shaastra, the annual technical festival of IIT Madras, will be reaching out to colleges in Coimbatore this year with its outreach program: Sampark. A series of demonstrations and competitions will be conducted in an effort to inspire the students and motivate them in "Breaking Boundaries".
- (1888PressRelease) October 23, 2013 - With footfalls of 20,000 each year, Shaastra is well known for being one of the biggest and best technical fests in Asia and the first in the world to be ISO: 9001 certified. The 15th edition of the fest will be held from 4th to 7th January, 2014.
Samparks are a series of workshops, events, lectures and qualifiers that are held at cities across India in an effort to bring Shaastra closer to everyone.
The Coimbatore edition of the Shaastra Sampark will be held at the Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore on the 26th of October. Sampark Coimbatore has the following events lined up:
Project X: Reputed as the event in Shaastra with the largest participation, it is a hands-on event which mainly focuses on creativity and craftsmanship. The most innovative, elegant and efficient working models will walk away with cool prizes!
Auto Quiz (Wild card entry to Shaastra Finals): One of the toughest quizzing challenges in Shaastra, with questions on the history of automobiles to the future of it, be ready to witness innovative new rounds with active audience participation and ingenious questions that will set your mind thinking hard.
Puzzle Champ: Be prepared for an hour of intellectual entertainment at Puzzle Champ! The puzzles will cover a wide range of topics and will test your proficiency in logic, reasoning and mathematics.
Rubik's Cube workshop (Pre-registered, Limited number of registrations open): Walk in at the venue and join us in learning how to approach and tackle this multiple faced conundrum. This workshop shall leave you with a fascinating habit that would surely last a lifetime and the hunger to crack puzzles like a pro!
Magic Materials Demo: Be amazed, dazzled, surprised, stunned as Shaastra unravel the surprises and take you through the world's magical materials.
