With footfalls of 20,000 each year, Shaastra is wellknown for being one of the biggest and best technical fests in Asia and the first in the world to be ISO: 9001 certified. The 15th edition of the fest will be held from 4th to 7th January, 2014.
The Lunar Rover Challenge is a competition conducted by Shaastra, the annual technical festival of IIT Madras in association with Team Indus, the only team representing India for the prestigious Google Lunar XPrize. A total sum of 5 lakh rupees along with internships, development kits and other incentives awaits the top 5 teams and the winning team's rover stands a shot at going to the moon.

Samparks are a series of workshops, events, lectures and qualifiers organized at cities across India as part of Shaastra. Sampark Hyderabad will take place on the 23rd September at Vasavi Engineering College.
