SGS to Provide Time of Flight Diffraction Training Courses in Shanghai and Bangkok
SGS provides regular training courses in Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) due to its growing popularity. The next courses are taking place from May 16 - 26, 2011 in China and from June 20 - 28, 2011 in Thailand. These TOFD courses will be held in English and are in accordance with SNT-TC-1A for the course in Thailand and with EN473 and/or SNT-TC-1A certification schemes for the course in China.
- (1888PressRelease) April 07, 2011 - Due to high demand for well-qualified NDT technicians who are trained in the correct use of the Time of Flight Diffraction testing method (http://www.sgs.com/time-of-flight-diffraction-tofd.htm?serviceId=10134179&lobId=5550), the SGS NDT Training and Examination Center in Shanghai, China is offering regular internationally recognized training courses on TOFD applications.
The next Level 2 TOFD training courses are scheduled to run from May 16 - 26, 2011 in Shanghai, China and from June 20 - 28, 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand. At the end of each course, on May 27 - 28 and June 29 - 30, respectively, an examination in compliance with the SNT or PCN/EN 473 will be offered as an option. The courses will be held in English and held by Mr. Norbert Trimborn, Strategic Business Leader Advanced NDT at SGS.
SGS TOFD courses are accredited by the British Institute of NDT (BINDT) and are in accordance with internationally recognized European and American standards. The TOFD training course and examination in Thailand is in compliance with SNT-TC-1A and the course in China is in accordance with EN473 and/or SNT-TC-1A certification schemes.
TOFD Training Course Details
During the training courses practical experiments and continuous assessment will be conducted. This will monitor each candidate's progress and understanding. Included in the fee of USD 3,000 per person is the training, examination fees, textbooks and lunches. Moreover, candidates can rely on SGS's support in arranging affordable accommodation and transportation to and from the hotel.
