SGS summarizes updated China standard for hand protection against mechanical risk
SGS publishes SafeGuardS looking at China’s new product standard for hand protection against mechanical risk.
- (1888PressRelease) November 01, 2023 - SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published a summary of China’s new national product standard for gloves that offer protection against mechanical risks.
GB 24541-2022 – Hand protection – Protective gloves against mechanical risks – covers gloves used to protect against mechanical risks such as abrasion, blade cut, tear, puncture and, if applicable, impact. It was issued by the Standardization Administration of China as part of China’s No. 19 announcement on approved national standards in 2022 and will come into effect on January 1, 2024.
SGS has published SafeGuardS 136.23 to help stakeholders gain an overview of the new standard. In addition to details of the main technical contents, it also has a summary of the differences between the current standard and its previous iteration from 2009.
