  • (1888PressRelease) July 20, 2024 - SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published a summary of three draft ministerial regulations issued by Thailand’s Ministry of Industry and circulated by the World Trade Organization (WTO). If accepted, these regulations will create mandatory Thai Industrial Standards (TIS) for certain food contact materials (FCM) and articles.

    The proposed mandatory standards outlined in the SafeGuardS are:
    • TIS 3206-25XX (20XX) ‘Stainless Steel Utensils for Food: Safety Requirements’
    • TIS 1027-25XX (20XX) ‘Plastic Bags for Food’
    • TIS 3022-25XX (20XX) ‘Microwavable Food Plastic Bag for Reheating’
