SGS secures Sigfox Accredited Test Lab certification at Test Labs in China, Finland and Taiwan

(1888PressRelease) March 08, 2019 - Sigfox, the world’s leading Internet of Things (IoT) services provider, has awarded SGS ‘Accredited Test Lab’ (ATL) status for its testing and certification facilities in Shenzhen (China), New Taipei City (Taiwan) and Espoo (Finland).

Sigfox is causing a revolution in the Machine to Machine (M2M) and IoT world by enabling large-scale connection of objects where all the network and computing complexity is managed in the Cloud, rather than on the devices. These comprise two kinds of tests:
• RF & protocol tests, to check Sigfox protocol & RF performance compliance
• Radiated performance tests, to assess the radiated performances of the device. These radiation tests will define a radiated power classification of the device in uplink mode
