SGS answers the questions being asked about EU GPSR
SGS publishes Consumer Compact article in which experts answer the questions businesses are asking about the new EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR).
- (1888PressRelease) April 16, 2024 - SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published a Consumer Compact article looking some of the commonly asked questions about the new EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR).
Published on May 23, 2023, the GPSR will replace the current General Product Safety Directive (GPSD). It updates the current requirements to make sure they are relevant to today’s more complex markets – new technologies, growth in online sales, inconsistencies around market surveillance, lack of efficiency in product recalls and difficulties over the alignment of regulation provisions.
SGS’s Consumer Compact article looks at the introduction of the GPSR and answers some of the common questions currently being asked about its impact on businesses.
