SGS Announces Head Of The New Global Supply Chain Services Competence Center
In December 2010, SGS announced Paul Zieger to head its newly opened Global Supply Chain Services Competence Center in Vienna, Austria. Paul assumed responsibility for the leadership of the center, with a special focus on the support for SGS affiliates to deliver Supply Chain Services.
- (1888PressRelease) December 22, 2010 - SGS Industrial Services has recently opened its Global Supply Chain Services Competence Center, which aims at providing comprehensive support for SGS affiliates to develop and deliver Supply Chain Services in their operational areas. As Head of the newly opened center, with headquarters in Vienna, SGS is pleased to appoint Paul Zieger.
In his new position, Paul will be responsible for the development of the new Global Supply Chain Services Competence Center in Vienna, Austria. With twelve years of experience in Sales and Project Management (http://www.sgs.com/project-management-services-2.htm?serviceId=38844&lobId=5550) in the industrial sector, Paul will lead the competence center by providing guidance and support in developing and delivering Supply Chain Services and executing projects within the SGS Group. His goal will be to improve the transparency and trust between affiliates and enlarge the inspection network. In addition, Paul will implement group efficiency initiatives and ensure that standards are properly followed.
In 2004, Paul joined SGS Austria as Head of Financial Services. Three years later, in 2007, he was appointed Global Quality Manager for SGS in Madrid, where he implemented the global Quality Management System and was responsible for global training programs and an auditing team. Prior to his appointment as the Head of the Global Supply Chain Services Competence Center, Paul supported SGS in developing the Asset Integrity Management (AIM) Center (http://www.sgs.com/asset-integrity-management-services.htm?serviceId=10102529&lobId=5550) in Austria.
