SF Based Alternative Band OCEANROYAL Rocks Progressive New Partnership With KALM Talent Group
Innovative Agreement Calls For Strategic Collaborations Beginning With Joint Promotion Of Oceanroyal's New CD "Lucky Drive".
- (1888PressRelease) May 01, 2013 - It is clear that talent alone is not enough anymore to make it in the music industry. What is not so clear is how to succeed in an industry that continues to change faster than it takes to download a song from the internet.
Not willing to wait idly by for answers, but instead opting to be proactive in finding their own road to results, are San Francisco based Alternative rock band Oceanroyal and KALM Talent Group. The two independent entities are moving full speed ahead with an innovative partnership based on strategic collaborations, pooling of resources and building brands.
The Oceanroyal/KALM Talent Group's first joint venture is the promotion of Lucky Drive, the band's highly-anticipated second full length album, recorded and mixed by Bay Area rock guru Sean Beresford. Beresford, whose resume also includes work with such esteemed artists as Third Eye Blind and Vanessa Carlton among others, also co-produced Lucky Drive along with Oceanroyal's founding members Kurt Seefeld and Brian London.
"We are so proud of Lucky Drive and the successful collaboration with legendary engineer Sean Beresford," said Seefeld, Oceanroyal's lead vocalist, who shares songwriting duties with London on guitars. Band members also include David Chen on bass guitar and Chris Garber on drums/percussions. "By now teaming with KALM Talent Group and maximizing our resources and areas of expertise, Oceanroyal is positioned to share Lucky Drive with a worldwide audience as well as with the industry as a whole."
"While crucial, talent is now one of many contributing factors that determine the viability of an artist's career. Artists and music industry executives alike must be creative and open to joint collaborations to not only remain competitive but succeed in this ever-changing and evolving industry," said Kerry Kessel, who founded KALM Talent Group with a "times have changed and so must the way we do business" mindset.
"Oceanroyal is a prime example of an extremely talented independent band that is dedicated to its music and craft while also realizing the importance of 'business' in show business," continued Kessel. "We are partnering with Oceanroyal to maximize opportunities and results, beginning with Lucky Drive."
Lucky Drive follows on the heels of Oceanroyal's debut full length album Sympathetic Vibration.
"What record labels used to farm out, KALM Talent Group is striving to bring in house," added Seefeld. "Oceanroyal looks forward to being part of that foundation as both of our teams collaborate and explore new market opportunities together."
Future plans for the unique partnership also include collaborations between Oceanroyal and KALM Talent Group artists.
