(1888PressRelease) July 27, 2010 - SET 2011, a Sustainable Environment Technologies Convention is scheduled to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Thursday, March 31 through Saturday, April 2, 2011. SET 2010 was originally scheduled to be held on September 16-19, 2010. Due to overwhelming requests by potential sponsors and exhibitors, show management has decided to reschedule the event.
Brian Sherwin, Director of Sales and Sponsorships at SET 2011, clarifies reasoning behind postponing SET 2010, "By rescheduling the event (SET 2011) we are able to accommodate sponsors and exhibitors who originally would not have been able to participate on such short notice. Planning for the next fiscal year will begin in a couple of months and we want to make sure that as many companies and organizations are able to participate in this valuable opportunity."
SET 2010 was originally scheduled for 4 days, Thursday through Sunday, however show management decided that, in order to better accommodate businesses, a three day should would be more beneficial. SET 2011 will now be held Thursday-Saturday, two business to business days and one extended open to the public day. "We (SET 2011) understand that business owners and employees need time to get settled back into their work schedules," explains Alain Aubard, owner of SET 2011.
Online registration is now open. Interested exhibitors, sponsors and speakers should contact the event office. Discounted admission for Business and General Public attendees will be available until November 5, 2010. Discounted exhibit spaces are available; please contact the event office for details. Free admission will be offered to General Public attendees who donate a canned good or e-waste to recycle. The event website will be updated periodically with deadline and rate changes.
About SET 2011:
Mr. Alain Aubard, Proprietor of SET 2011, is originally a bridge engineer and architect from La Rochelle, France. After moving to the U.S. five and a half years ago, he started a solar power installation company. Realizing that solar energy was only a segment of the broad picture that is sustainability, Mr. Aubard set out to create a better way to help all of us move in the right direction. SET 2011 was born out of necessity; without unity, the sustainability movement could not progress. The SET 2011 office is run by a group of talented, ambitious young men and women, each of them passionate about our cause. They recycle, use public transportation, and drive fuel efficient vehicles. "It is important that we practice what we preach," says Mr. Aubard. "If each of us would do our part, we can make a tremendous impact on our planet and to our future."
