September 22: Seminar Will Address "Crunch Time For Solar"
Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula, a leading sponsor of solar legislation, will keynote.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) September 01, 2011 - Will the federal Section 1603 grant program be allowed to expire at the end of the year? If yes, how can solar projects lock in its benefits now? With the pricing of solar renewable energy certificates (SRECs) falling dramatically, how can companies hedge risk and still make the deals profitable at the lower prices?
A panel of experts will provide some answers on September 22, 2011 at the Northern New Jersey Solar Seminar. Slated for 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Stony Hill Inn, 231 Polifly Road in Hackensack, N.J., the topical program bears the title, "Crunch Time for Solar."
Co-sponsored by TD Bank, EisnerAmper, Cole Schotz, and Solar Roof Development, the program will feature experts in law, finance, consulting, and SRECs. The event's keynote address will be provided by Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula, a leading sponsor of legislation supporting the solar market in New Jersey.
"With so much activity in the solar industry in New Jersey, which is second only to California in installations, and such key topics that could impact the industry going forward, this program is designed to provide property owners, developers, and non-profits with the crucial information they need," said Adam Putter of Solar Roof Development. His Fort Lee, N.J.-based company provides energy audits, evaluations of return on investment, competitive bidding for equipment and installation, exploration of financing options and tax incentives, and counseling during contract negotiations.
