You can collect this water and store it, purifying it later. This is water one could re-use for purposes, such as irrigation, but not for drinking.To collect it, simply plug your drain when you take a shower and collect that water with a ten-gallon basket.
• Bio swales:it helps incollecting rainwater, run-off from full rain-barrels and gray water. Simply a depressed area in your yard with some earthen barriers around it, not quite a ditch, it acts as a repository for excess water that can be used later for irrigation. Aquatic plants will purify the water to a sufficient degree to use it over again.
