SecuTech Ships New TRRS and USB DUAL-Enabled UniMate Authenticator - New tokens expand flexibility and choice for customers worldwide
SecuTech UniMate TRRS and USB DUAL-Enabled two-factor authentication token enables customers to manage a broad range of authentication credentials, including one time password, digital certificates and static passwords.
- (1888PressRelease) February 11, 2012 - Montreal, Canada - SecuTech UniMate TRRS and USB DUAL-Enabled two-factor authentication token enables customers to manage a broad range of authentication credentials, including one time password, digital certificates and static passwords.
The UniMate TRRS and USB DUAL-Enabled token increases flexibility by enabling people to leverage the security benefits of two-factor authentication in either a computer or a smart phone. In addition, the UniMate token comes with an integrated smart chip, which delivers the functionality and versatility of a smart card in a convenient and easy-to-carry format.
The level of protection offered by current mobile technology when transmitting data has been known to be broken. The KASUMI block cipher used to protect 3G mobile communication has many known exploits, the publically documented and published related key attack in January 2010 proves that the cipher is not secure. By using UniMate technology you will not have to rely on mobile encryption designed for its constricted environment and take advantage of proven and effective techniques to add an extra level of protection to your mobile devices.
Unique to mobile device protection, UniMate does not require the use of cumbersome drivers to be installed onto your mobile device or installation via complicated device interfaces. UniMate features an Audio Authentication API which allows UniMate to use TRRS compatible sockets to interface with your mobile technology, making installation as easy as installing an app then plugging your headphones in.
UniMate Technologies
Hybrid-interface
UniMate products are using hybrid-interface technology, USB interface and 3.5mm Audio interface, which can meet almost all platform requirements, such like PC and mobile device.
PC, iOS, Android and Symbian
UniMate supports the most popular platforms in the markets.
High security
The communication between UniMate and host device are encrypted, and the session key is changed every time when the session is established.
Driverless
UniMate products are driverless, requiring no driver installation so it saves users the trouble of dealing with "dongle not found" problem and makes everything easy and fast.
State-of-the-Art Cryptography
UniMate follows industry best practices and uses only well-established and thoroughly tested cryptographic algorithms. The passwords and credentials stored on the UniMate are encrypted in hardware using various encryption algorithms.
Highly secure and convenient implementation of PKI
The PKI keys and digital certificates can be securely generated, stored and used on UniMate device - the sensitive and precious private keys need never leave the device and be exposed to the insecure PC environment.
On-board RSA 1024-bit and 2048-bit key generation
UniMate generates and stores RSA 1024-bit and 2048-bit key on board. This ensures maximum protection via the encryption ciphers. Unlike with software-based encryption, which stores keys on the host PC hard disk and loads them into RAM memory, UniMate encryption keys are never stored or loaded onto the PC, so they can never be compromised through methods such as Cold Boot attacks or other exploits.
Partners and Customers will be benefited from knowing the new token works out-of-the-box with most of the world's leading enterprise technology solutions. The ease-of-use, expanded credential support and interoperability also provide an attractive offering for SecuTech Security resellers and partners.
