SECUDE successfully closes sale of its application security division to SAP
SECUDE announces completion of sale of its enterprise-level application security division to SAP effective from 1st February 2011.
- (1888PressRelease) February 02, 2011 - SECUDE is pleased to announce the successful completion of sale of its enterprise-level application security division to SAP effective from 1st February 2011. Henceforth, SECUDE will re-align its resources and will completely focus on its globally proven data protection solutions.
SECUDE's Chairman and Mentor, Dr. Heiner Kromer, states that the sale of the SAP application security business allows SECUDE to focus on data protection. "As SECUDE has sufficient funds as a result of the transaction, it will be possible to fund our rapid expansion strategy. It is obvious that the organization and its management must be restructured to meet the new market requirements".
Organizational Restructuring
As the first step towards the reorganization process, SECUDE has acquired Secacon, a Swiss-based IT security company. Consequently, the CEO and General Manager, Mr. Walter Gygli, a highly regarded encryption driver expert, will be taking over the responsibility as SECUDE's Chief Technology Officer.
Mr. Johann Petschenka, currently Country Manager (Switzerland), will take over the role of Business Product Manager for the FinallySecure portfolio with immediate effect. He takes over this role from Mr. Michael Kummer, who is promoted to General Manager of SECUDE USA.
Several overseas locations and business of SECUDE will be closed, restructured or expanded during the next few weeks to meet the new strategic requirements of SECUDE.
