  • Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA (1888PressRelease) August 18, 2017 - Kids ages 5-18 create a product or service, develop a brand, create profit and experience entrepreneurship for a day at Seattle Acton Children’s Business Fair. The program is designed for children to be responsible for the setup, sales, and interacting with customers. Best part, any parent has seen selling to the customer or promoting the child’s product will result in disqualification from the business fair competition.

Creative Children for Charity, whose mission is to inspire one million kids to donate their time and talent for a social cause, has secured a business license from the ActOn business team to host Seattle's first youth business fair. They received over 60 applications for businesses to create waffles, bouquets to car cleaning services. “Today’s youth are tomorrow’s business innovators and leaders. The Children’s Business Fair gives students the opportunity to spread their entrepreneurial wings and get a head start on promising business careers,” said Jeff Sandefer, founder of the Acton School of Business, one of the sponsors of the fair.

This program was designed by Acton Academy, the Acton School of Business, and the generous support of Creative Children for Charities donors and volunteers, who all believe that principled entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation.

Whether an entrepreneur is famous, like Elon Musk or Oprah Winfrey, or one of the thousands of unsung business owners across this country, these entrepreneurs are the people who make sacrifices to innovate, create jobs, and serve their communities. “Creative Children for Charity team is very excited to partner with local companies such as GCI communications, Meylah, Y of Sammamish, Bellevue Crossroads Mall and many others who recognize the need to empower youth to become entrepreneurs,” said Chirag Vedullapalli, Founder of Creative Children for Charity, organizer of the fair.

As part of the competition, cash prizes of $50 will be awarded to each prize category for “Most Business Potential,” “Most Creative Idea,” and “Most Impressive Presentation.” Both adult sponsors and shockingly articulate kids are available for interviews on camera or off.
