Seapine and IEEE Computer Society Present Webinar: Predictive Metrics Drive Successful Product Releases

Use the Windshield, Not the Mirror: Predictive Metrics That Drive Successful Product Releases features guest speaker Sharon Niemi, practice director for lifecycle optimization at SQA, and Jeff Amfahr, director of product management at Seapine. The webinar begins at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.
Niemi will cover why reactive metrics alone aren't enough to ensure consistent product releases, as well as the predictor questions teams should be asking to spot trouble in advance. She'll also share how to provide line of sight from predictive metrics to business outcomes.
"Of all defects uncovered in production, nearly 70 percent are related to requirements," Amfahr said. "These defects can include unreported changes, updated testing needs that weren't communicated to QA and so on. Sharon demonstrates how to overcome these kinds of issues by asking the right questions and looking at the right metrics."
As part of her presentation, Niemi will share a case study about one company that overcame frequent product delays and quality issues by adding predictive metrics to its measurement portfolio.
