Scientology Information Center Features First Opera Concert
Clearwater, FL - On Saturday the 27th of August, 50 guests attended an opera concert in honor of The Way to Happiness with Ms. Susanne Epple. Ms. Epple, an opera singer from Austria, performed a selection of opera songs in Italian, French, German and Czech accompanied on piano by Rosalia Maresca at the Scientology Information Center in Downtown Clearwater.
- (1888PressRelease) August 31, 2016 - The event began at 6:30pm with Amber Skjelset, the Manager of the Scientology Information Center welcoming the guests to the Center.
She shared its role as a community center where people from all religious backgrounds and beliefs can come together to network and get answers to their questions about Scientology.
Ms. Rosie Friehoff, Master of Ceremonies introduced the artists and their musical backgrounds.
Susanne shared her passion for supporting The Way to Happiness, a non-religious, non-political moral code based on common sense written by L. Ron Hubbard. She saw the results of its use in war-torn foreign countries where she travelled, distributing booklets.
"I saw that people were eager to receive the knowledge and remember the goodness in man," said Susanne, "The precepts in The Way to Happiness provide common sense values which help people to make good decisions and treat others as they would like to be treated. This concert was in honor of the precept, 'Be Competent'."
Her talented multi-lingual performance received a standing ovation, and encores. Susanna graciously thanked the audience and encouraged them to return on October 23rd to the Info Center where mezzo soprano Zara Vardanean will be performing another opera.
After the event ended, guests had the opportunity to speak to the performers and take pictures with them.
