Schmidt Design Studio Retained for Interior Design for First Watch locations in Atlanta
First Watch to feature a fresh, contemporary décor concept.
- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) November 15, 2012 - Schmidt Design Studio has been retained by First Watch, the Bradenton-based breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant company, to complete the interior design remodeling efforts of two recently acquired J. Christopher's locations in Atlanta.
Schmidt Design Studio, an interior design firm specializing in restaurants, bars and hospitality spaces, developed the revitalized concept for the brand. They have been working with First Watch for the past two years on rolling out newly developed design prototypes and continue to remodel the brand. This includes a welcoming and warm color pallet, contemporary art pieces, and a more functional and customer-friendly open kitchen.
The new First Watch locations will be located at: 11720 Medlock Bridge Road, Johns Creek, Ga., and 1675 Cumberland Parkway, Smyrna, Ga. in the Ivy Walk center.
The Smyrna, Ga. location, approximately 4,000 square feet, will be a complete remodel. It will feature modern furnishings utilizing a rich palette of chocolate browns and neutrals, mixed with natural greens, reds, and golds.
"The energy of the space will be greatly enhanced with the updated design and we feel confident customers will embrace the new space," said CEO and principal interior designer of Schmidt Design Studio, Anna Schmidt.
The John's Creek, Ga. location's design palette, approximately 3,150 square feet, will use some of the existing restaurant's features. A contemporary touch will be added by interjecting hues of blue, complimented by neutrals and grays. The breakfast bar will remain in the restaurant and the main dining area will feature a new community-style table for larger groups. Both remodels will take place over the next few months.
First Watch is currently the largest and fastest-growing daytime-only restaurant concept in the U.S. with nearly 100 restaurants in 14 states. Additional units are under development as part of the company's aggressive growth strategy.
