Smart Packager Pro, optimally priced for enterprises of all sizes, is comprised of an MSI and App-V Application Packager, a Basic and Advanced Application Editing facility, and a Workflow Management console in support of Best Practices. This latest release helps significantly reduce complexity associated with the adoption of emerging technologies such as user-centric computing, virtualization, while at the same time significantly increasing the ease with which companies can expand their ITAM programs.
Basic or Advanced Package Editing and Authoring: The clean and appealing UI can be used to create MSI packages and edit MSI packages at the database table and row level that have gone through the workflow management process. This essential tool simplifies the configuration of multi-application package installations, eliminating costly deployment issues and reducing IT costs.
Support for Large Application Packages: Smart Packager V2 now provides support for applications of all sizes cutting MSI packaging time by up to 80% while experiencing a 98% success or better in application deployment. Standard MSI packages can include up to 65535 file system items. With Smart Packager V2 the application automatically creates one or multiple CAB files for the MSI package if the total number of file system items is over 65535.
Support for the Most Popular Custom Actions: Smart Packager Pro has support for all the most popular Custom Action types that can be used with MSIs. Whether you want to extend the capabilities of your installer by executing an EXE file, a VBScript, PowerShell Script or calling a function in a DLL, only a few mouse clicks are required to set it all up.
Packaging, Creation, Editing, and Removal of Device Drivers: Smart Packager V2 now supports the packaging of device drivers and is placed into their own custom drivers table.
