Stines, CPA, a principal of SaxBST's Labor Union and Taft-Hartley Plans Industry Service Group, has been named a guest panelist for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) Conference. The program is being held in conjunction with the Trustees and Administrators Institutes from June 23-25 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The three-day event will address auditing and accounting challenges facing multi-employer benefit plans, including the latest disclosure requirements and evolving strategies for fund management. Designed for internal and external accountants who serve employee benefit plans, breakout sessions appeal to new and seasoned practitioners of single and multi-employer plan types.
As the lead guest speaker, Stines will address "Advanced Topics in Plan Disclosures" from 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, June 23. Compliance topics will focus on related party disclosures as well as the latest 408(b)(2) disclosure. The program is eligible for 1.5 CPE credits in the NASBA subject area of Accounting and Auditing. He is involved in all aspects of client audit engagements with some of the largest local unions throughout the New York region.
