SaxBST'S Susan Reed to be Honored for Professional Distinction at Salute to Policy Makers 2014 Awards Dinner
Firm's Partner Recognized by Executive Women of New Jersey.
- Bergen-Passaic, NJ (1888PressRelease) May 17, 2014 - Susan Reed, CPA, CFP, a partner of SaxBST and leader of its healthcare service group, has been named among the 33 women who are being honored by Executive Women of New Jersey at the Salute to Policy Makers 2014 Awards Dinner being held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick. This year's keynote speaker is real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran, who is one of two women featured on ABC-TV's Shark Tank.
To be considered for the Salute to Policy Makers award, nominees must hold senior executive management positions and affect policy at major companies, academia, non-profits and government entities statewide.
Reed is being acknowledged for more than 20 years of accounting and tax experience and her executive leadership role as director of accounting services at SaxBST. Her areas of expertise include evaluation and improvement of business operations, revenue enhancement analysis, financial and operational assessments, benchmarking analysis and operational consulting for medical and dental practices. Reed also has authored numerous articles for professional publications and is a sought-after guest speaker for business, medical and women-in-business events.
The Madison resident earned her bachelor's degree from Montclair State University and is a certified financial planner. Her professional memberships include American Institute of CPAs, New Jersey Society of CPAs, Medical Group Management Association and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
In addition to Reed's professional achievements, she is a member of the board of directors of St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, a 229-bed acute-care community hospital that provides comprehensive medical and surgical care, emergency, and diagnostic services to the communities throughout northern New Jersey. The hospital is part of the St. Joseph's Healthcare System.
Proceeds from the Salute to Policy Makers awards dinner fund scholarships for women enrolled in graduate programs in New Jersey's institutions of higher learning as well as other programs to advance women. Since the scholarship program's inception in 1986, more than $1.2 million in scholarships have been awarded to over 400 New Jersey women.
