Sax Macy Fromm Foundation Presents $62,000 Donation to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital

Bergen-Passaic, NJ (1888PressRelease) October 29, 2013 - The Sax Macy Fromm (SMF) Foundation recently donated $62,000 from its Second Annual 4 Miler at Garret Mountain to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. The SMF Foundation absorbed all expenses associated with the second annual event to donate 100 percent of the proceeds raised through sponsorship directly to the Child Life Department at the Paterson, N.J.-based medical center.

"Thanks to the support of more than 400 participants and the generosity of 40 business and individual sponsors, the Second Annual 4 Miler at Garret Mountain exceeded our expectations," said Robert Paz, SMF managing director. "We are thrilled with how the community rallied behind this event and St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. We feel fortunate to do business in an area where giving back is such a high priority."

The 4 Miler's lead sponsor, at the Titanium Level, was Valley National Bank, based in Wayne, N.J. The regional banking institution serves 16 counties in New Jersey, New York City and Long Island and is committed to supporting the local communities in which its branches are located.
