2015 Soirée De La Société Internationale To Benefit Cemetery Preservation & Restoration Projects.
- New Orleans, LA (1888PressRelease) July 31, 2015 - Save Our Cemeteries, in partnership with the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) New Orleans, announced today that it will hold its annual fundraising event, Soirée de la Société Internationale, on Wednesday, September 9th 2015, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm (CDT), at the Audubon Tea Room, 6500 Magazine Street New Orleans, LA.
The evening event, inspired by New Orleans' unique and historic society tombs, will be reflected in an extraordinary four course wine pairing dinner highlighting the culture and cuisine brought to the city by its diverse immigrant population. The event will feature premier New Orleans chefs, a gala patron party and a silent auction for an anticipated audience of approximately three hundred guests. Proceeds from the soiree will benefit Save Our Cemeteries restoration and preservation efforts at historic cemeteries throughout the city, and to ensure these beautiful iconic New Orleans landmarks are protected for generations to come.
"We are excited to once again partner with NACE (National Association for Catering and Events New Orleans) for our annual fundraising soirée" states Amanda Walker, Executive Director at Save Our Cemeteries. "Last year's soiree was a huge success and we hope to continue that success with this year's event." Ms. Walker continues, "The proceeds from this event will go to help our ongoing and future preservation and restoration projects, like our 'Open Tombs' project that we are currently conducting at Lafayette Cemetery No. 2 and Valence Street Cemetery."
