San Diego State University Student from Professional Business Organization to Host Annual Networking Event
A professional networking event will be held at San Diego State University by the Professional, Co-Ed business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) October 15, 2013 - Alpha Kappa Psi, Mu Sigma, a premier Professional Co-Ed Business Organization on San Diego State University's campus, is set to hold an annual networking event. The event is to take place on October 23 at the Scripps Cottage from 6-8pm.
What makes this event different from other networking events is that it is student run. Sponsored by the Business Alumni Network of SDSU, the students planning the event have been donated funding to make the event possible.
This particular networking seminar is an annual event put on by the organization's Professional Development Committee. The Vice President of the Committee, Ashley Castro, is a senior at San Diego State University majoring in Economics and minoring in English. Her and her committee has been working on this event since last June and are housing both nationally recognized and professional companies such as, Target, J Public Relations, and Charles Schwab among many others.
Their goal for this event is to bring opportunity for business professionals to network among each other for the first half hour of the event and then invite SDSU students who are looking for possible internships to network among those professionals as well. In addition to the networking segment, a raffle worth up to $50 will be given at the closing of the event. Castro commented, "We couldn't be more exciting about the opportunity that we will be giving to these students. We look forward to making great connections that will be at our event."
