San Diego Community Assist (SDCA) is Set to Honor Mayor Todd Gloria at the Inspire Community Unity (ICU) Awards on October 23,2021
San Diego Community Assist (SDCA) Presents the Inspire Community Unity (ICU) Awards. The Awards will recognize and honor community leaders, local organizations, political activists, and impactful influencers in the San Diego region that have made significant contributions to historically underserved areas in the community.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) October 13, 2021 - While the COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant hardship to the region, state, and even the world, an equal number of honorable individuals have stepped up in their communities to provide much-needed help during a time of crisis and uncertainty. The Inspire Community Unity Awards are an opportunity for the community to come together and thank the exemplary citizens of the San Diego region that have largely not been recognized.
Co-hosted by the husband and wife duo, Grammy Nominated singer, Shanice, and NAACP Image Award-nominated actor, Flex Alexander, the Inspire Community Unity Awards are set to be presented on October 23, 2021, at the San Diego Convention Center.
The ICU Awards will recognize and honor community leaders, local organizations, political activists, and impactful influencers in the San Diego region that have made significant contributions to historically underserved areas in the community.
“At this time, when families around the world are suffering from the impact of Covid-19, San Diego Community Assist believes that it is necessary to shine a light on the pillars of the community and the organizations that have stepped up to serve the people. These local heroes are often overlooked however, they are the backbone of our nation. We here at SDCA want to say, “thank you” to the people who matter and to remind the residents of San Diego that we are strong. These individuals have inspired hope, provided resources, and logistics that lead to a thriving community. For San Diego to continue rising, it is imperative that we recognize, support, and honor the selfless efforts of our local heroes.
Directed by, Angel Tyree Johnson, a recording of the awards show will be televised on the OKTV Streaming Network where viewers from around the world can watch as we celebrate these local heroes.
The Inspire Community Unity Awards is set to present ten awards that will include honoring:
• Mayor Todd Gloria
• San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit
• Kathleen Harmon
