Samtel and General Dynamics Canada Partner for Ground Vehicle Display Opportunities in India
Samtel Avionics Ltd. (SA), one of India's leading avionics and defence companies, and General Dynamics Canada, a global provider of integrated electronic products, systems and in-service support to defence and public security markets, have signed a Cooperation Agreement to pursue opportunities and co-produce displays for military and non-military segments.
- (1888PressRelease) February 04, 2014 - New Delhi - This is the first collaboration of its kind for General Dynamics Canada in India and will create opportunities for the company's battle-proven products in the Indian market. Similarly, this will be Samtel's first major foray in automobile and ground-vehicle displays, building on its proven capabilities in the Indian aerospace market. Samtel will partner in the production of select General Dynamics Canada products for Indian and international markets, as well as provide opportunities for engineering, design and marketing services for General Dynamics Canada.

General Dynamics' ground displays provide 360 degree situational awareness for the entire crew of a vehicle. By combining display and computing into one package, the displays offer significant savings in weight, space and power over conventional architectures, with simplified integration into C4I sub-systems.
Samtel and General Dynamics Canada are participating in the DEFEXPO 2014 exhibition held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 6-9 Feb 2014. Samtel's booth will feature two General Dynamics Canada displays.
