Rockingham Honda dealership's move to a new location in Salem, NH.
Manchester-Nashua, NH (1888PressRelease) June 12, 2012 - The Rockingham Honda dealership in Salem, NH will be moving to a new location in 2012/2013. The Salem Honda dealership will also be merging with Rockingham's Toyota dealership, currently located just a few miles away, so that both businesses will now be more conveniently situated in one place. The combined dealerships will move to the 400 block of South Broadway, just off of Route 28. The move to this new site was approved by the Salem planning board in March 2012 and construction plans are already in motion, though no official opening date for the new location has been set.
Though Rockingham's Salem Honda location has been successfully serving its customers for years, the company has recently been hoping to expand. The newly purchased vacancies, whose official addresses will be 402 and 412 S. Broadway, will replace the closed Ultimate Electronics building, formerly Circuit City and the attached lumberyard. Rockingham Lumber has been closed for over 20 years and has been an eye sore ever since. The expansive area purchased by the dealership will provide Rockingham Honda with the added space they have been looking for.
According to Ross Moldoff and Emmett Horgan, the planning director and Rockingham Honda dealership owner, respectively, the existing buildings will be significantly renovated to accommodate both the nearby Toyota scion dealership and the Salem Honda dealership. When finished, the Honda dealership will be housed in a 23,800 square foot building. The Rockingham dealership promises that the major construction project associated with the move will not interfere with daily traffic in the surrounding area.
