Saint Marie Records signs Lotte Kestner, solo project of Anna-Lynne Williams of Trespassers William and will release her full length album in 2012. This is the second signing by Saint Marie in the last two weeks. SMR signed band Drowner last week.
- Fort Worth-Arlington, TX (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2011 - Lotte Kestner is the solo project of Seattle-based musician Anna-Lynne Williams, who spent the last decade singing in the band Trespassers William. Her solo music has elements of her shoegaze past and influences, but lies somewhere closer to folk, relying on melodicas, ukuleles, and violins to fill in the spaces, rather than electric instruments. Her previous releases are the self released album China Mountain, and recent covers album, Stolen. Anna-Lynne has collaborated with the Chemical Brothers, Delerium, AFI, Ghosts I've Met, Au Revoir Borealis, Minotaur Shock, etc and also sings in the duo Ormonde.
Saint Marie Records will release Lotte Kestner's next album in 2012, date TBD.
Saint Marie Records has now signed two acts in recent weeks for a total of eight artists to date. Houston's shoegaze band Drowner was recently signed and the label is currently in talks with several other bands. This on the heels of the news posted on the label's Twitter account ( ( @ ) StMarieRecords) that they now have a Seattle, Washington office as well as the one in Fort Worth, Texas dot Several other big happenings are to be announced in the near future dot
