Saint Francis Veterinary Center Announces Grand Opening Event for the Johari & Jimmy Rollins Center for Animal Rehabilitation
Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins and his wife, Johari, partner with Saint Francis Veterinary Center to launch a state of the art rehabilitation center for animals.
- (1888PressRelease) April 05, 2013 - Woolwich Township, NJ - Saint Francis Veterinary Center, an award-winning, American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)-accredited veterinary practice, announces its partnership with Jimmy Rollins of the Philadelphia Phillies and his wife, Johari, to open a state of the art rehabilitation and pain management center for animals.
A Grand Opening event will be held April 20, 2013, from 10am-1pm on the grounds at Saint Francis Veterinary Center in Woolwich Township, Gloucester County, NJ. This family fun day will include the Phillie Phanatic, player autographs, tours and demonstrations, face painting and games, a chili cook off, raffles, live music, homemade food from local church groups, and participation from Kingsway Regional High School clubs and the Swedesboro-Woolwich Little League.
The Rollins Center for Animal Rehabilitation will offer to animals many of the same cutting edge modalities often used by humans, including those utilized by professional athletes like Jimmy Rollins:

The Rollins Center will assist patients with post-surgical recovery; prevention of further injury; recovery and healing of muscle strains, ligament ruptures, joint sprains and bone fractures; assuaging of patient anxiety or stress; reduction of muscle tightness or spasm; management of chronic conditions including arthritis and degenerative disease; promotion of flexibility and range of motion; weight management; and other beneficial therapies.

The Rollins Center will be led by two veterinarians trained at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Caroline K. Garzotto, VMD, DACVS, CCRT; and Dr. Mark Newkirk, BS, MS, VMD. Dr. Garzotto is an Adjunct Professor of Surgery at the University and is a Board Certified surgeon as well as a certified practitioner of canine rehabilitation. Dr. Newkirk has practiced rehabilitative medicine for nearly two decades in South Jersey, is a guest-author for Animal Wellness Magazine, and is the radio host of "All About Pets" on Thursdays from 9am-10am on WOND 1400 AM.
