SafeXs Guardian Encryption Software for Portable Devices
CTWO Products AB launches a New Range of Low Cost Encryption Solutions with Top End Features.
- (1888PressRelease) March 21, 2014 - CTWO Products AB, a leader in customised USB and encryption solutions, today announces SafeXs Guardian; a range of low cost encryption software solutions appealing to companies that are in need of data encryption to comply with regulatory compliance, but do not require a more expensive hardware based solution.
The new range includes Guardian Portable, a standalone encryption tool allowing a user to use their own USB Flash Drive and convert it to an encrypted vault, in a matter of seconds. This device can then be used to transfer files between Windows, Mac and Linux based operating systems securely and easily. The range also includes SafeXs Guardian and SafeXs Guardian XT, both USB flash drives that utilise USB 3.0 speeds with on-board Guardian encryption software.
James Baker, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at CTWO Products said " With the release of the new Guardian range we now offer companies and individuals a way of protecting their sensitive data at a low cost. Who doesn't have a USB flash drive lying around? I know I do, so why spend money on purchasing new hardware when you can install our Guardian portable software onto the drives and create a fully portable encrypted vault, no matter what size capacity the drive is. We fully believe that encryption should be available to all, and with this new low cost range it is now possible."
The SafeXs Guardian range may be low cost but it does not scrimp on features. The encryption software comes with a default complex password policy, a Timer Lockdown feature to protect users from unauthorised access, as well as cross platform support. All this contained within an easy to use drag and drop interface that does not require administrator privileges and leaves no traces behind on the host PC.
1 In 2013 over 800 million records were exposed by the way of data breaches, an all time high which nearly doubles the previous record, this included four of the top 10 breaches that have ever occurred. Most worrying is that a number of breaches were via improper equipment disposal such as an unencrypted laptop thrown away or by losing unencrypted devices completely.
James Baker, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at CTWO Products added, " It is plain to see that encrypting data must be the top priority when protecting against these types of breaches. As well as being damaging to a company's brand and reputation, companies have a responsibility to protect their customers' data and that's where SafeXs steps in to help".
