RWE and Gazprom to continue negotiations
After a series of constructive meetings during the past few weeks, RWE and Gazprom have agreed to continue their talks on a possible joint venture intensively.
- (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2011 - After a series of constructive meetings during the past few weeks, RWE and Gazprom have agreed to continue their talks on a possible joint venture intensively.
Alexey Miller, Gazprom Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee, and Jürgen Großmann, CEO of RWE AG, decided this on the occasion of a meeting in The Hague, Netherlands, at the beginning of this week.
The negotiations on possible cooperation regarding existing and/or new-build gas and hard coal fired power plants in Germany, the United Kingdom and the Benelux countries will be carried on exclusively until the end of 2011.
The basis for the talks is the Memorandum of Understanding signed by both parties on 14 July 2011.
