Rwc Offers Current Writers Additional Positions Via Contest
RWC plans to offer guest blogging positions to our winning writers in the current essay contest.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) June 10, 2011 - ResearchWritingCenter.com is still accepting entries to our new essay contest. This is a terrific opportunity for writers to highlight their skills and share their knowledge. Winners will receive cash prizes as well as the chance to write guest blog posts. This is an exciting new way to honor the writers of the best essays.
We like to keep writing interesting and stimulating, because we know how tough, concentrated, and isolating this kind of work can be. Our last essay competition proved to be a lively mechanism for bringing writers together, and promoting discussion.
We also received all sorts of good suggestions and advice on getting started in the freelancing field. Our winners were thrilled. One writer, active with us for about a year and a half, was delighted with her Honorable Mention. "Since I don't have anyone to discuss my writing with, I enjoyedconnecting with other writers. The award affirmed what I am doing."
Another writer, somewhat unsure about his language skills, shared his delight over the acknowledgement of his hard work. "I see that my investment in improving my grammar and word usage over the years has paid off, literally!"
We hope that the current contest will fulfill the same purpose of honoring our most articulate writers and eliciting useful ideas and resources to make other writers' lives easier. The contest topics are:
1) "Useful Software for Freelance Writers"
2) "Time Management Tools for Freelance Writers"
3) "Useful Web Resources for Freelance Writers"
Prizes will range from 200 dollars to 50 dollars, at five award levels. As an added benefit, any prizewinner will receive immediate registration as a writer with ResearchWritingCenter.com. This will replace any further skills tests, writing samples, or phone interviews.
In addition to monetary prizes, we will take advantage of this contest to identify potential guest bloggers. Readers - whether friends, relatives, fans, or other RWC writers - will vote on the prizewinners from among the finalists. This will ensure we choose our guest bloggers from among writers who can speak to our audience effectively.
We are proud of this process. We want writers with an appealing and informative style - how better to find them than to allow them to present their best efforts to a vote by their peers?
ResearchWritingCenter.org will offer some winners a paid spot as a blogger. This is a major coup for any freelancer. Blogging for RWC offers additional pay and much wider visibility than our type of academic writing usually provides.
A blog posting on our web site can grow into a regular assignment, which is something all freelancers aim for. Blogging for us also pumps up a freelancer's writing CV. In applying and bidding for other, non-RWC jobs, such an assignment adds credibility and gravitas to a freelancer's work history.
It is also, perhaps to the surprise of some hesitant prospective contest entrants, a lot of FUN.
Of course, it is fun of a sort appealing only to writers with a passion for their craft! Blogging for RWC allows a writer to hold forth on almost any topic that would help or support other writers in their work. This is because ResearchWritingCenter.com is aiming to create and maintain the best and most useful website and freelancing community on the internet.
We want to cover the field! Thus, the RWC blog may address a huge range of subjects such as finances, overcoming creative block, avoiding plagiarism, databases, citation, grammar, and properly structuring papers. Our bloggers write about troubleshooting hardware or software problems, making purchase decisions, writing bid letters, resolving difficulties with customers, and many, many other possible topics. With unlimited potential for variety, and substantial self-direction, this is a plum task!
We encourage writers to submit their entry essays early rather than late, and avoid overloading the internet connection at the last minute. The final deadline is June 22, 2011. The contest link is as follows:
