RV "STAYS" Pay For Blind Kids
Newport Dunes Launches ongoing Fundraiser for Tustin Nonprofit.
- Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) February 10, 2011 - Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort has launched an ongoing fundraising program benefiting the Blind Children's Learning Center in Tustin. For every night booked at the RV park, the Dunes will donate $1 to the nonprofit that offers educational services and adaptive therapy to approximately 200 visually impaired students each year. According to Andrew Theodorou, vice president and general manager of the 100-acre resort, the program is expected to generate $30,000 annually for the nonprofit.
Established in 1962, the non-profit Blind Children's Learning Center is dedicated to helping blind and visually impaired youths achieve their full potential and lead lives of independence. Their holistic approach begins when the child is born and continues throughout their development until they graduate from high school. The organization's extended services are offered both at the Center and in public schools.
The Dunes offers 386 RV sites, 24 mobile cottages, 450-slip marina, campsite with rent-tent services, onsite grocery store and a the critically acclaimed Back Bay Bistro. Guests may rent kayaks, windsurfers, pedal boats, bicycles and 18-foot electric boats throughout the year.
