RPost Launches Apps Marketplace for Easiest Access to Anywhere, Anytime Legal Electronic Messaging and Document Services
RPost Apps Marketplace includes desktop, mobile, and web apps for access to more than 70 processing features for the global standard in legal, secure, e-signed and verifiable electronic messaging and document services.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) October 13, 2011 - RPost, the inventor of Registered Email® services, today announced the launch of the new RPost Apps Marketplace, offering the most complete option on the Internet for users to access legal electronic messaging and document services for proof, encryption, e-signatures, and high value collaboration across multiple web-connected devices. The RPost Apps Marketplace provides a simple way for end users, IT departments and developers to connect their existing desktop email, mobile messaging, business management platforms, and web applications, routing high value data for processing by the RPost Cloud™ platform.
The RPost Cloud platform is built on RPost's innovative Registered Email technology standard for processing high value email messages with a selection of seventy added characteristics that deliver a specialized message product to the recipient, returning analytics, reports and evidence records to the sender.
The advantages of the new Cloud-powered RPost Apps Marketplace include:
• New Services and Features: The apps in the RPost Marketplace cover all of RPost's Registered Email, encryption, legal, electronic signature, authentication and collaboration services for legally valid proof and non-repudiation. In total, there are more than 70 features that can be combined, such as options for large file transfer mode, TLS encryption mode, record reply mode, and many more.
• New Messaging and Document Management Portability: The RPost Marketplace today includes apps for Microsoft Outlook 2000-2010, IBM Lotus Notes, and Novell Groupwise for desktop; Apple iPad, iPhone and BlackBerry for mobile; and all web-based email programs are accessible via special Microsoft Explorer, Mozilla, Safari, and Chrome browser apps. RPost is adding new apps in collaboration with third-party software platform companies and developers.
• New Third-Party Developer Access and Revenue Streams: For developers and service providers, RPost opens its standard apps to be baseline code for developers to customize for their use. Developers can also use RPost's application programming interfaces (APIs) for data input, feature selection, product delivery, intelligence reporting, and authentication. These APIs allow for SMTP and HTTPS interaction and act as pre-built "connectors" to programmatically trigger use of RPost features from within their software and service platforms. The RPost Apps Marketplace also creates a turnkey process for developers and service providers to generate new recurring transactional or per-user revenue based on the amount of data they route for processing by the RPost Cloud platform.
"This is the culmination of RPost providing its world-class service to any user that might need it, regardless of device or messaging platform," states RPost CEO Zafar Khan. "Over the course of the year, we have aggressively evolved RPost from a specialized service provider, working with select customers facing the greatest need for this level of messaging, to the worldwide platform for legal electronic messaging services. Now, users everywhere will be able to send high-value, outbound messages from their phone or any other web-enabled device of their choosing with the same level of confidence as governments and businesses across the globe that use RPost's services every day. We believe the RPost platform will fast become the new global standard for any high-value outbound messages requiring special treatment."
Earlier this year, RPost upgraded its main line of Registered Email, email encryption, and electronic signature services, followed by opening up RPost Registered Email technology to developers through the RPost Cloud application programming interfaces. Now, the RPost Apps Marketplace will provide an easy way for third-party developers to showcase their products with the additional messaging and document services now available through RPost. RPost's upgraded standard apps can be downloaded at no cost from the RPost Apps Marketplace.
While RPost Apps have been processing high-value messages for clients internationally since the early 2000s, those available for download in the RPost Apps Marketplace have been upgraded this year to be more compatible with new and diverse operating systems, as well as the newer messaging platforms used by those systems.
