Rosecrance to celebrate 100-year anniversary at annual Foundation Benefit on April 25
Redux Jazz Orchestra to entertain at key Rosecrance fundraiser.
- Rockford, IL (1888PressRelease) March 19, 2016 - Tickets are on sale for the annual Rosecrance Foundation Benefit, headlined by Redux Jazz Orchestra, which features a five-piece combo, a tap dancer and stellar singing talents from such shows as "American Idol" and "The Voice."
The Rosecrance Benefit will have a special 100th Anniversary theme this year. The event is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, at Giovanni's, 610 N. Bell School Road, Rockford. Individual tickets for the dinner event are $200 and tables of 10 are $2,000.
Besides musical entertainment, this year's event features stories of recovery by former clients and presentation of the Castle Award, which honors a volunteer who has displayed exemplary commitment to the Rosecrance mission.
The annual Benefit is the organization's key fundraiser. Proceeds support the Kinley Charity Care Fund, which helps families needing financial assistance for a loved one's treatment for substance abuse or mental health disorders. Since 1984, when the Kinley Fund was established, the Benefit has raised more than $7 million to help families, said Anne Boccignone, Sr. VP for Development.
Lisa Lindman, chair of the Rosecrance Foundation Board, expressed gratitude for the generosity of benefactors in the community who support The Kinley Fund through the Benefit.
"I trace the abiding support from donors to a deep understanding that few families have not been touched by substance abuse or mental illness," Lindman said. "The generosity of people who attend the Benefit means that hundreds of people each year have access to life-saving services."
Redux Jazz Orchestra features musicians and vocalists presenting modern music in a vintage style - a nod to the long history of Rosecrance, which was founded in 1916. The entertainers are members of Postmodern Jukebox, which has become a worldwide sensation for their original arrangements and engaging presentation of today's popular songs in a variety of styles, including 20s hot jazz and 50s doo-wop.
The Orchestra cast for the Rosecrance Benefit includes Blake Lewis, the "American Idol" sixth-season runner-up, and Maiya Sykes, a favorite from the 2014 season of "The Voice." Recording artist Aubrey Logan also is on the bill for the Rosecrance show.
