Rosecrance Berry Campus offers award-winning program for parents
1-2-3 Magic is a national program facilitated by a certified trainer.
- Rockford, IL (1888PressRelease) November 19, 2014 - 1-2-3 Magic teaches a simple, gentle-but-firm approach to managing the behavior of 2 to 12 year olds. The program is for parents, caregivers, teachers, healthcare providers and anyone who plays a significant role in a child's life.
This training offers valuable information in three basic areas: managing troublesome behavior, encouraging good behavior, and strengthening relationships. Classes are facilitated by Emily Gilliam, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for Rosecrance.
"1-2-3 Magic is an intervention specific approach to managing difficult behaviors and reinforcing the parent-child bond," says Gilliam. "It's encouraging, it's strengthening, and it works."
The program is held at the Rosecrance Berry Campus, 8616 Northern Avenue in Rockford, from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Cost is $60/person or $90/couple. Participants only need to attend one of the following:
*Friday, December 5
*Friday, January 9
*Friday, February 13
*Friday, March 6
A Tuesday evening series will also be held on January 20, 27 and February 3, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Different information will be presented at each session.
Materials and books are included. CEUs are available upon request. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
