Ropers Majeski Kohn & Bentley Adds Four Attorneys to Redwood City Office
Michon Spinelli Joins as Partner, Steven Wood as Of Counsel.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) May 08, 2014 - Ropers Majeski Kohn & Bentley, P.C. (RMKB), a multi-service law firm offering litigation and transactional services nationally and internationally, adds four attorneys to its Redwood City office - Michon M. Spinelli as partner, Steven G. Wood as of counsel and Norman Lau and Christopher R. Mezzetti as associates. In the past four months, the firm has added 11 attorneys. Of this number, Spinelli and Wood are two of five senior-level additions, joining three partners recently added to the firm's New York City office.
Spinelli joins RMKB from Bledsoe, Cathcart, Diestel, Pedersen & Treppa LLP in San Francisco, where she was a partner. Wood joins from The BAG Fund Group, where he served as senior counsel. Lau and Mezzetti come to the firm from Selvin Wraith Halman LLP in Oakland, Calif. and the Mezzetti Law Firm Inc. in San Jose, Calif., respectively.

Spinelli joins RMKB's commercial litigation practice group. She concentrates her practice on business and employment litigation, complex personal injury and wrongful death litigation, products liability and landlord tenant litigation. She represents clients throughout California and Nevada and has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict. Active in the legal community, Spinelli is a member of the board of directors for the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada and past president of the Italian American Bar Association of Northern California. She is a graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law (J.D., 2001) and the University of Southern California (B.A., 1998).
Wood joins RMKB's Real Estate, Litigation and Appellate practice areas. He has extensive experience handling real estate transactions and litigation matters for clients. Transactional matters include land use and developments, financing, leasing, landowner/tenant disputes, workouts and secured transactions and bankruptcy. Wood's litigation docket regularly includes cases involving developers' disputes, easements, landlord/tenant disputes and bankruptcy issues. In terms of appellate work, Wood has handled matters involving alleged trademark infringement for a major wholesaler of women's clothing. He earned both law and undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (J.D., 1987; B.A., 1984).
Lau joins RMKB's insurance services practice group. His experience includes the representation of insurance companies in bad faith, declaratory relief, contribution and complaint in intervention actions. A graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (J.D., 2007) and the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., 2004), Lau served as the editor of the Constitutional Law Quarterly while in law school.
Mezzetti joins the firm's commercial litigation group. He is a graduate of Lincoln Law School (J.D., 2011) and Santa Clara University (B.A., 2005). Mezzetti's prior experience includes two internships with the Santa Clara Superior Court, working with the Probate and Juvenile Dependency departments.
