RoomRX Opens it's Virtual Doors
RoomRX is a new interior design company which operates solely online. Clients receive design boards and shopping lists which meet their unique design needs.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) February 12, 2013 - RoomRX officially opened it's doors earlier this month, offering a unique service to a wide audience. A self-proclaimed online interior design company, RoomRX offers interior design consultation and room redesign using design boards (a la Pinterest) and functional inventory sheets.
Danny Koss, co-founder of RoomRX, affirms that the service will open doors to what people can do in their homes. "We want to bring the expertise and value of interior designers to more people. In it's current state, the industry only serves those with large amounts of disposable income. Not everyone can afford a designer's input at $100 per hour."
RoomRX gets around the typically high price-point allotted to interior designers by offering their services completely online. Clients submit photographs and hand-drawn floor plans to the RoomRX designers to help them create a virtual tour of a living space. Their designers then work one-on-one with the clients to pin-point their design tastes, unique preferences, and individual flavors. From there, the designers create a full 2-dimensional floor plan and design board which contains furniture and accessories from local and online vendors which they feel serve the client's living space and personal taste.
Each client also receives a shopping list with an outline of all the products chosen by RoomRX (complete with prices, dimensions, and explanations) which link directly to the vendor's website for immediate online purchase.
In essence, RoomRX is attempting to bring the interior design industry to the digital age. Though still a young company, they are already making ripples in the industry as they bring the services of professional and experienced interior designers to the masses.
