Roche Bobois Opens North Palm Beach Showroom With High Style And French Flair
Party celebrates opening of Roche Bobois' second corporate-owned Florida showroom. Located in North Palm Beach, it joins the showroom in Coral Gables (which opened in 1997).
- West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) May 21, 2013 - When the international home furnishings company Roche Bobois held a grand opening party for its second Florida showroom recently, hundreds of guests attended the stylish soirée in North Palm Beach.
The fashionable 6,000-square-foot retail showroom, which Roche Bobois built out and customized to showcase many of its products, was well received by visitors who admired and sat on some of the furniture in order to experience the high quality and luxurious feel.
A red carpet arrival, paparazzi clicking cameras, and delectable hors d'oeuvres and desserts from Christafaro's complemented the fine champagne and bottles of "Onli" flavored water served for the special occasion. Furthermore, a talented trio played upbeat music reflecting the overall festive mood.
An hour before the event, local interior designers enjoyed a brief talk by internationally recognized designer Sacha Lakic. The Belgrade native came to Paris with his parents when he was one year of age and quickly cultivated a love of style and color from his father, a fabric designer in the fashion industry. In this own career, the young Lakic applied that love to other areas as he began designing futuristic cars and motorcycles. He also discovered the world of industrial design, architecture, graphic arts and photography, and subsequently designed the Speed Up and Dyno furniture collections for Roche Bobois. "I like to arouse in people the desire to see, to touch, and to use my creations, or simply to feel their presence," he said.
The affable Lakic was just one of several Roche Bobois representatives with French origins who were at the showroom's grand opening and brought their Continental elegance to the memorable evening.
Julien Bigan, Roche Bobois general manager for the U.S. South East, said he was delighted with the turn out. "We have been made to feel very much at home in this community where we are now open for business. People truly seem to be excited about Roche Bobois coming to Palm Beach County," he pointed out.
Producing its own exclusive furniture and accessories for the home, the Roche Bobois Paris brand was born in 1961, resulting from a merger of two French family businesses. The company has become a worldwide symbol of fine European-made furniture, design and distribution. There are more than 250 Roche Bobois retail showrooms in 45 countries throughout the world, the majority of which are corporate owned. Twenty-four of the locations are situated in the U.S., with two currently in Florida. The new North Palm Beach showroom joins Coral Gables, which opened in 1997.
