Robert Miller Congratulated Future Electronics Team for Introducing Lowest Cost Board with Microsemi
Company President Robert Miller congratulated the Future Electronics team on the recent introduction of the lowest cost board on the market using Microsemi's latest FPGAs.
- (1888PressRelease) October 23, 2016 - Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recently announced a Future Electronics-designed Creative Development Board featuring Microsemi's IGLOO™2 field programmable gate array (FPGA) or or SmartFusion™2 system-on-a-chip (SoC) FPGA and Microsemi's LX series power devices.
The Future - Microsemi Creative Development Board boasts a 25k logic element (LE) FPGA, offering the lowest cost of entry for both software and hardware engineers who want to evaluate and implement their own unique designs.
Robert Miller, President and CEO of Future Electronics, recognized his team for their partnership with Microsemi Corporation in the design and release of the new board, which features either an IGLOO2 or SmartFusion2 25k LE device, DDR2 and SPI flash memory, delta sigma ADC, USB and expansion connectors. The USB interface allows one to communicate, program and power the board. Users can add functionality via one of three expansion connectors: an Arduino connector, a MikroBUS click connector, or a PMOD connector. Microsemi's LX7167 is an efficient power switcher that provides the board all the power necessary for a variety of applications.
To further promote the capabilities of Microsemi FPGAs, Future Electronics will be sponsoring hands-on design workshops in numerous cities across North America this fall.
