Robert D. Voit To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award In Orange County
Founder and CEO of Newport Beach, Calif.-based Voit Real Estate Services will be honored by national real estate organization.
- Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) August 08, 2012 - Robert D. Voit, founder and CEO of Newport Beach-based Voit Real Estate Services, has been named as the 2012 recipient of the RealShare Orange County Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious award is presented to an individual who has changed the landscape of the real estate community in his or her local market.
"Certain names just come to mind when talking about Orange County real estate, and Bob Voit is at the very top of that list," says Daniel Ceniceros, Vice President of Strategic Development for RealShare Orange County.
Voit founded his firm as The Voit Corporation in 1971, and has spearheaded its expansion throughout the Western U.S. The company has grown to 10 offices and has successfully owned, developed and managed more than 50 million square feet of commercial real estate to date.
One of the reasons Voit is a standout for this award is his proven ability to maintain his creativity, passion and vision for commercial real estate throughout the four decades of his firm, according to Barb Rea, Director of Corporate Resources for Voit Real Estate Services.
"One example of this creativity is the development of Warner Center Plaza," notes Rea. "Bob's vision transformed a previously undeveloped area into the flagship 2.9 million square-foot Warner Center Plaza and Warner Center Business Park, which transformed the West Valley in Los Angeles into a thriving upscale business workplace."
In addition to Warner Center, Voit has developed a number of landmark properties throughout the Western U.S., including Brea Business Park in Brea, Gateway Business Park in Tustin, The Plant in Van Nuys/Panorama City, and Superstition Springs Business and Office Park in Mesa, Ariz., among others.
Voit's reach in the commercial real estate industry extends beyond development.
In 1973, his firm launched a property management division to provide an owner's perspective to management for its own portfolio and for its third-party clients. Later, in 1987, Voit launched a commercial brokerage house which quickly became and remains one of the top brokerage firms in Orange County.
"Voit has molded the firm to meet the demands of an evolving market, and has proven that Voit Real Estate Services is a full-service solution in the commercial real estate industry," notes Rea.
Voit has also demonstrated a passion for giving back to his community. He was instrumental in the creation of the West Valley Chapter of the Boys & Girls Club, and created one of Los Angeles' first corporate-focused transportation programs, including shuttle buses and ridesharing programs.
"Because of the example set by Bob Voit, the entire team at Voit Real Estate Services remains devoted to giving back. Together we have volunteered thousands of hours and continue to collect toys and financial contributions for the Boys & Girls Club organization in each market in which Voit has office locations," says Rea.
Voit will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award during a ceremony at the upcoming RealShare Orange County conference in Irvine, Calif. on August 16.
