ROAMASIDE Eliminates Roaming Charges for travelers
ROAMASIDE unveiled a new technology to avoid expensive roaming charges.

Recently, the European Commission acknowledged the issue, stating: "Phone companies are maintaining unjustifiably high margins on charges for using mobiles while abroad."
RoamAside, a Canadian based company has unveiled its hassle free solution that does not require the travelers to obtain and switch SIM cards, rent and return a device or buy calling cards at a local convenient store.
RoamAside is offering an "app" available for iPhone, iPodTouch, Android and Blackberry owners. The user downloads the app and registers for free on its handheld device. RoamAside offers credits to all new subscribers so that they can try the service for free.
"We encourage our users to remove their SIM card from their cellphone while traveling abroad," said Claudia Venh, RoamAside spokesperson.
Indeed, RoamAside use the WiFi technology to make calls.
"We know that most hotels / resorts / workplace do now offer complementary WiFi, but we do also provide a free map based feature guiding our users to
the nearest of the 210,000 free WiFi hotspot we have indexed."
