The Improv Comedy Club In Las Vegas Celebrates The Return Of Rising Comedy Star Don Barnhart For Special Engagement November 2 - 7, 2010.
- Las Vegas, NV-AZ (1888PressRelease) October 31, 2010 - Award winning comedian and rising comedy star Don Barnhart returns to his home of Las Vegas to appear in a special stand up comedy performance at The Improv at Harrah's Hotel November 2 through 7th, 2010.
Barnhart, a resident of Vegas since 2000, has been on tour around the world with his stand up act and just received the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award for his continued service of producing and performing comedy shows for the troops and most recently, Don and his wife/producing partner Linda Vu spent time in the middle east with actors Christian Slater and Kal Penn performing and visiting with troops boosting the morale of the service men and women overseas.
As for his stand up, Don combines well written, topical material and delivers it with a fast paced, high energy and animated improvisational flair that keeps audiences of all ages howling with laughter and coming back for more. Audiences say that Barnhart reminds them of a young George Carlin with the energy and characters of Robin Williams making Don funny on so many different levels.
Barnhart is a regular headliner at the top comedy clubs across the country and continues to perform his stand up in Las Vegas 8-10 weeks a year at the comedy clubs on the strip.
Don recently wrote, directed and starred in the indie thriller, "China Dolls" and can be heard regularly on The Bob and Tom Show and XM/Sirius Satellite Radio. He is a veteran performer for The USO and Comics On Duty and has been entertaining the troops around the world for the last seventeen years. Barnhart continues to produce shows and perform for the military several times a year.
Barnhart is also the writer, director and star of the upcoming comedy film, "Freeloader" and was nominated for the 2010 "Best Comedian" in Las Vegas. He is the creator and host of the syndicated TV series, "The Freedom of Speech Comedy Show" and was recently the featured comedian on MySpace. Barnhart also won the Grand Prize for the 2007 American Idol Underground Comedy Award and was recently voted "One of the top 100 comedians to see" 3 years in a row by Entertainment Business Journal.
Don Barnhart is a contributing author on, "I Killed: True Stories of the Road by America's Top Comics" which the N.Y. Times called, "Hilarious. He is an alumni of The Second City Conservatory program in Los Angeles and is developing, "The DeEvolution of Man" a sit-com and one man show based on his successful stand up tour.
