Rick Hendrick Toyota Donates a New 2011 Toyota Camry for the Fayetteville Duck Derby

Rick Hendrick Toyota is a sponsor of the event, and has donated the 2011 Toyota Camry that will be given away to the Grand Prize winner the day of the race. Tom Costello, the General Manager at Rick Hendrick Toyota feels this event will bring the community together and help benefit the Fayetteville Urban Ministry as well as several other local non-profit organizations.

To win an all new 2011 Toyota Camry, simply Adopt a Duck and race for a chance to win a brand new 2011 Toyota Camry on May 7th 2011 at Campbelton Landing on the Historic Cape Fear River! The Lucky Duck that finishes first wins the grand prize of a new Toyota Camry. There will also be a 2nd place prize of a Las Vegas Getaway, 3rd place prize for a Myrtle Beach Escape and a 4th place prize of a Cape Fear River Cruise.

To support the Fayetteville Urban Ministry and several other local non-profits organizations, you can adopt one or as many ducks as you want. All Ducks will be registered with a number assigned to the adopting parent. There will be about 5,000 to 15,000 rubber ducks racing down the Cape Fear River on May 7th 2011.

Additionally, there are other events and competitions you can get involved in as a community between February and May 7th. The Duck Derby Drink and Appetizer completion allows customers to visit a number of local establishments where they can vote for their favorite Duck Derby appetizers and drinks. Winners will be announced on the day of the race. Race day will be packed with a full day of celebrations and "Ducktivities" including food vendors, Cape Fear River boat rides, live entertainment, the Duck Race and much more!
