Richard P John releases new album, 'Seasons in Flight'
The British pianist and composer Richard P John has released his fourth album, 'Seasons in Flight'.
- (1888PressRelease) April 29, 2013 - Seasons in Flight is the fourth album release from pianist/composer Richard P John. The album of 12 tracks explores the themes of British author Brian Aldiss's collection of short stories of the same name.
Seasons in Flight, recorded at Ty Cerdd Recording Studio, Wales Millenium Centre, Cardiff, is Richard's first album release since Echoes of 2011.
The composer writes:
"Seasons in Flight has had, at 14 months, the longest gestation and writing period of any of my albums. It is certainly the most personal of them all in that the music is the direct result of external influences rather than merely being music for music's sake."
Seasons is the most varied of all Richard's albums, from the introversion and introspection of 'June - Melancholia', to the extroversion of 'March - Free' to the almost violent 'August - Breaking'.
Seasons in Flight is available on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play, among others.
