Ric Frank and Gordon Radford Return to Perform at the Lexington Hotel in New York City

- (1888PressRelease) December 01, 2015 - New York, NY - Once again, the New York Jazz Workshop proudly presents Jazz duo Ric Frank and Gordon Radford who will be performing at the Lexington Hotel in New York City on Friday, December 4th, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm.
At the Lexington Hotel, it is Jazz at Sunset and after dark when the City starts to unwind and the music lifts you onto a cloud of melodies and rhythms. Enjoy such beloved tunes as Autumn Leaves; I Love You; A Child is Born; Willow Weep for Me; plus new favorites. Revel in the expressive piano and horn solos and hear the call and answer of the instruments as they tell you the stories of the songs.
Multi-instrumentalist Ric Frank brings his fluency on flute, saxophone, clarinet, piccolo, and alto flute to the ensemble. In addition to being the leader of the Jambalaya Brass Band (charting nationally on JazzWeek, the CMJ Charts and the Roots Music Report with 2 CDs), Ric has also performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Ray Santos Caribbean Music Experience, Rebirth Brass Band, Tremé Brass Band, Hot 8 Brass Band, New York City Soul, Steve Getz Quintet, Todd Wolfe, Dallas Fisher and others as well as a variety of chamber ensembles and territory bands across the country. Ric has recently been honored as an inductee in the New York Blues Hall of Fame; he has been the recipient of two Meet the Composer grants and was the 4th place winner in the Just Plain Folks Music Awards.
Pianist Gordon Radford is a Berklee School of Music Graduate and spent several years on the Berklee Faculty. He has continued his studies with Charlie Banacos, George Russell, Steve Grossman and Ray Santisi. He has played and appeared with Donald Byrd, Dave Brubeck, Chris Parker (Brecker Brothers), George Garzone, Bruce Goertz and Ictus to name a few. Gordon Radford has released his own album entitled A Moment in Time, Noran Records, Los Angeles and he appeared on Future Winds (Ictus) among other recordings.
