Rezidor opens the Radisson Hotel Kaliningrad in Russia

- (1888PressRelease) September 17, 2010 - The brand new first class- and full service hotel with 178 rooms is centrally located in the heart of Kaliningrad (formerly known as Königsberg). Kaliningrad is known for its unique history – it has been a major city of the famous state of Prussia and the capital of the former German province of East Prussia, partitioned after World War II between the USSR and Poland, and renamed after the Soviet Head of State Mikhail Kalinin. The Kaliningrad region forms the westernmost part of the Russian Federation, but it has no land connection to the rest of Russia. It is surrounded by Lithuania, Poland, and the Baltic Sea.
