- (1888PressRelease) October 17, 2012 - The Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow was honored with three titles – Europe’s Leading Luxury Business Hotel, Russia’s Leading Luxury Hotel, and Europe’s Leading Landmark Hotel. “This is fantastic achievement, and all our congratulations go to the hotel’s owner Zarakh Iliev as well as to General Manager Jesper Henriksen and his dedicated team”, said Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. The Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow is one of the legendary “Seven Sisters” – the Soviet skyscrapers masterminded by Stalin. Designed by leading Soviet architects Arkady Mordvinov and Vyacheslav Oltarzhevsky, the monumental 34-storey-building was constructed between 1949 and 1957. The property reopened its doors in April 2010 after an extensive 3-years renovation – it features today 497 elegant guest rooms & suites as well as 38 serviced apartments, and offers outstanding services to its demanding international business & leisure clientele.
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin was awarded Germany’s Leading Business Hotel. The property is located in the historical centre of the German capital, between Alexanderplatz and Museum Island. It is right next to the River Spree, facing the Berlin Cathedral, and just a few minutes from the Boulevard Unter den Linden and the Brandenburg Gate. The lobby's atrium features the largest cylindrical aquarium in the world, standing 25 meters high and containing 1 million liters of sea water. The award as Norway’s Leading Business Hotel went to the Radisson Blu Hotel, Alesund. Located in the city center, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding islands. It comprises 131 guest rooms, and 8 meeting rooms spread over 500 square meters. Norway is a key home market for Radisson Blu – due to its Scandinavian roots Radisson Blu enjoys an excellent brand reputation all across the region.

The Radisson Blu Astorija Hotel, Vilnius was awarded the title of Lithuania’s Leading Business Hotel.
